Energy prices to stay high for months it seems?

NO REDUCTION IN ENERGY PRICES LIKELY

Despite falling oil prices, and the resultant reductions in vehicle fuel prices, it is looking increasingly unlikely that gas and electricity prices will be coming down for us consumers or businesses, which is a real financial blow, given the reduction availability of credit. The general advice seems to be for householders and companies to plan long-term, and look to save money by reducing energy consumption by insulating ones property. This view is set out in an article on the domestic energy directory’s website entitled “Energy prices not set to drop”. www.deadirect.co.uk/News/Insulation/October-2008/Energy-prices-not-set-to-drop?id=1253

As well as insulating, householders can reduce all their future energy bills by fitting energy saving windows. For example visit www.hazlemere.co.uk/windows/energyrated.html

No one on earth seems to be in control?

Is it just me, on does no one on earth appear to be able to control the current Global Financial Crisis?

It is in times of crisis we seem to discover whether a leader has any substance or metal. George Bush has not passed the test for me, and consequently, I fear the American people will spend years paying for the failings of both his Administration, and much of it's Foreign & Fiscal Policies.
It is the men & women in "Main Street" as the Americans call it I feel sorry for, particularly for the 300,000 Brits whose money is in IceSave, the Icelandic Bank. It appears that all their assets had been quite literally frozen, as many faced the prospect of only getting back £35,000 to £50,000 maximum, and then only after lots of time, effort and several months it seems?. However, now it seems their money is safe?

For those IceSave customers with over £50,000 invested, who, one assumes were attracted by the higher interest rates, it seems that their savings are now going to be paid in full by the British taxpayers. This is good news for them, but surely the government can not keep bailing everyone out as they simply don't have the resources to do so?

At times like these, we hopefully learn what is really important to us, which I trust for you is your health & your family? Having tens of thousands of pounds may bring comfort, but it often seems to bring unhappiness to those that have more than they need. Contentment in Life is mega, so whatever your situation, I trust you are content, or will be able to adapt to any unfair circumstances Life throws up so that you get there soon.
